Donation of Laboratory Equipment

Submitted by lince

FIRAT Rwanda , together with institutional partners under the INSTAL Africa initiative, expresses sincere gratitude to DrosAfrica, our technical partner, for the generous donation of laboratory equipment supporting the establishment of Rwanda’s first National Drosophila Research Laboratory (NDRL) at the University of Rwanda, Huye Campus . This donation strengthens the hub for Drosophila melanogaster–based discovery science and marks an important milestone in building a pipeline of fundamental research scientists across Rwanda and the region. The equipment which includes microscopes, centrifuges, fly-handling tools, and laboratory consumables, will enable hands-on training, practical demonstrations, and early-stage research for students, researchers, and partner institutions.
