In DrosAfrica's continued commitment to expand the use of fruit fly as a research model world-wide, Tim Weil was funded to teach on the inaugural "Drosophila melanogaster models for neurodegenerative diseases" in Trieste Italy, 17-20 April. He delivered multiple lectures on topics including mRNA biology, local translation and bimolecular condensate, as well as lead practical sessions. This course was part of the ICGEB series for 2018 and was organised by DrosAfrica collaborator Fabian Feiguin. DrosAfrica and ICGEB look forward to working together again in the near future.
